- Identify which circuits are included.

- Agree access and restoration.

- Check the contractor and approvals.

- Plan the handover records.

## Use it with the actual proposal

The checklist helps you compare what contractors are offering. It will not diagnose the wiring or tell you that the smallest job is sufficient. The electrician still needs to assess the installation.

Keep any insurer's written requirement alongside it. That requirement may concern all active K&T, while a quote covers only a particular circuit. Catching that difference before work starts is more useful than trying to correct the completion letter afterward.

You do not need to inspect or touch wiring to fill it in. Use the report and the information already available.
