How information submitted through nycknobandtube.com is used in responding to a service request.
Information you choose to provide
When you submit an inquiry, the form requests contact information and details about the property or wiring question. Some fields are optional. Please provide only information needed to discuss the work and avoid including sensitive details about other people.
A resource request uses the contact details supplied in the form. Written feedback may include your name and borough. Permission to publish feedback is requested separately and is not selected by default.
How the information is used
NYC Knob & Tube Experts uses inquiry information to respond to the request and arrange the relevant service discussion. If the project proceeds, information may also be used to coordinate assessment, prepare the proposal and manage the work.
Licensed and insured contractors may receive the property and contact details needed to assess or carry out the requested work. Providers supporting website security, form processing and contact records also process information needed for those functions.
A service inquiry is not permission to publish your message as a testimonial. Publication of written feedback follows the separate permission you provide.
Website and security information
The website uses Cloudflare services for hosting and security. The inquiry form uses a security check to help prevent automated abuse. When enabled, Cloudflare Web Analytics provides information about website use.
The inquiry system includes the page from which the request was submitted and an available traffic-source category, such as a search or direct visit. A traffic-source value may be held in browser session storage so it can accompany the request. It is not a record of the wiring condition.
The cost estimator and project assessment work within the page. Their selections are not submitted as an inquiry or stored by those tools. Choosing to complete a separate contact form is a separate action.
Keeping and protecting records
Information is kept for the service purpose and applicable recordkeeping needs. Access should be limited to the people and providers who need it for those purposes. No website or communication system can promise absolute security.
Do not use the inquiry form to send payment-card information, identification documents or account passwords. If additional documents are needed for a project, agree an appropriate method with the person handling the work.
Questions and requests about your information
Use the contact page to ask about information you have submitted, request a correction or raise a deletion request. We may need enough information to identify the relevant record and verify the request before acting on it. Applicable recordkeeping requirements may affect what can be removed.
If you previously gave permission to publish feedback and want to discuss its use, identify the feedback in your request.

Links to government guidance, associations and relevant product or service providers lead to websites with their own practices. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies.
