Old wiring can survive behind renovated rooms, whether the property is a house or an apartment. The electrical assessment needs to establish what is still connected. Its condition matters more than the age of the facade or the neighborhood name.

What if your neighborhood is not listed?

The local research uses construction-age and residential-unit data to choose relevant examples. It does not measure how much active K&T remains in a neighborhood. Only an assessment of the property can establish that installation.
Having trouble finding someone willing to take it on?
Tell us what another electrician declined. A small repair to retained old wiring can be a different job from replacing the circuit. Sometimes the unresolved issue is access beyond the room where the problem appeared.
